Sadly that hasn't made the picture come back though...

Here's a pic of another piece from the Action Jacksons, a head I used for another effort. The face looked familiar, and when I changed the hair color the resemblance became apparent:

Oh, I definitely did. I even found a nicely-shaped piece of styrofoam insert for him to sit in; even though it was not round it gave a very good impression of a "command console" and even spun around on the table.

About the dolls: the only thing I remember I couldn't get or make were the caps. The black (no gray) underclothing was a 2-piece Spy outfit. The "vest" (and a perfectly-shaped crash helmet, to which I added some foam padding, a wire for a microphone and painted) came from an Air Force outfit. The "vest" is a painted Mae West so it is only good from the front, but it was all I had to go on, and besides the shoulders stuck up nicely. I don't remember if I made epaulets. The high boots were not painted, they were plastic actually molded in those colors, scrounged from several sources. I think the green ones came from Aquaman; there were also red (Superman), a perfect shade of blue (Batman?), white (winter gear) and black.
Green's head actually looked a little like him too; except for White's head, the other Caucasian guys didn't look like our guys at all. The blond doll if I remember was particularly bad. I don't think I tried a Captain Black doll. There were no female dolls in that series.
