Mysteron's A Voice Modulation?

Just been considering something while I was listening to the Captain Scarlet [Soundtrack 1967]

The Mysterons, Black and others all have a very deep voice rather slow in fact if you listen to it. Is it or was it produced thought a voice modulator?

Unless you're talking about the last audio adventure "Captain Scarlet VS Captain Black". At the time of recording, it was discovered that the story was running just a little too short, in order to be the required 21 minutes (or so), that the other audio adventures were. So.... the powers that be decide to slow down the last part of the recording, in order to get to required time. Unfortunately, the voices of all the characters sounded incredibly the same, although they were performed by their respective actor!

I think - correct me if I'm wrong, those in the know - that they corrected the recording for one of the compilation tapes that was released years after the original recording. But unfortunately, it wasn't corrected when all the audio adventures were added to the DVD boxset that was released in 2001.

I put all of them onto my PC and then onto a personal CD, and I thought to correct the problem myself (by speeding the voices of the last part of the troublesome adventure), but I didn't find how do that. If some of you know of a solution, maybe you would be willing to share with us? (she asks hopefully).

Well I did the same thing with the Scarlet and Stingray mini-albums, ripped them to CD. I did go ahead and buy the expensive, but wonderful Thunderbirds Mini-Album CDs from Fanderson a few weeks ago. Perhaps the Fanderson release will correct the fault.

There is software around that can be used to correct faults like this, one of which is available with Roxio Media Creator. I'm sure that there are others around, though. It's just a case of finding something not too pricey.

If you mean the tapes that were brought out in 1993 to cash in on the BBC2 showing - no, they weren't corrected.
