New Fan Fiction

Sorry if I offend any1 in anyway by visiting a different website & finding fan fiction...

...But I would like to say that 2 pieces of fan fic that I found were (possible) ending to the War of Nerves.

No offense at all, MMK. In fact, both of these can be found in the fan fiction section of Colonel Chris' home site. Just click on the big Cloudbase picture on the left of every forum page and navigate to the Fan Fiction section. You'll see lots of good stuff there. :-;)

"Spectrum is Black" was one of the first Scarlet fiction I read - or was it the ultimate first, I can't remember! That would be a close choice between this one and Mary J. Rudy's "An Exercice in Hope".

Let's just say I was ecstatic to find Scarlet fiction online - finally! But there were so few of them, and most of them were hidden away into small zipped files, inside huge documents such as dowloadable Wordpad copies of fanzines, you had to search a long time to find them!

I decided that maybe it was time for a proper site to actually feature some? I was hoping a Captain Scarlet site, with a fanfiction section might attract would-be writers. It was at the same time that I started writing myself. So you can blame "Spectrum is Black" in part...

And writers came, fortunately! Good writers. Like the author of "Falling from Grace" that you read, MMK. She was amongst the first to submit stories to me. "Falling from Grace" is one of my personal favourite.

If you are interested, look for other stories by her on the site. Search the authors index and look for Kelly Haycock.

I'm off a tangent - but what the heck, it seems like a good place to post this anyway, considering the subject of Caroline's eXtrapolations... And if you read the first part of that wonderful story, you will know what I mean!

All X-Men fans: go see the new X-Men III movie! I just went and it's VERY GOOD!

And, oh, a useful advice! STICK UNTIL THE END CREDITS ARE FINISHED! There's a surprise there.

Has anyone read "Captain Scarlet- The Truth" sometimes I feel that the story that Gerry Anderson writes is right

but I can't help feeling that if Captain Scarlet was big-headed then he would be like this...

The first one I read was... erm... I know for a fact that its one from Spectrum Headquarters... but I can't remember its name and am NOT prepared to look for its title (theres probably hundreds of stories in total isn't there?)

Hi all,
Couple of weeks I started reading the fan fic on Spectrum Headquarters from the 1st one listed under 'A'. And have found them ALL enjoyable. I congratulate you all 8M-M)

I have decided... though it'll be no easy task... to read them all, one by one (shock_0)

so far I am part of the way through 'B'. <(>

Hopefully (the way I'm going at the minute) I'll be finished by Xmas :grin:

As I have said... I am enjoying reading them... so if you don't hear from me for a while...... You say there's 300+? No problem!

Serena & MMK , glad to hear we are at least thinking about getting the fan fic out there !

Getting more confident about this and it's lovely to have support from those who have been there before us ( no apologies to Star Trek ! ) Guess we just have to do it, and if it's rubbish, the big guns ( Marion, Chris, Sage, Caroline, et al. will point us in the right direction ) !

Wow, no one's ever called me that before

I know it's scary to get your stories out there, it took literally years for me to get that courage up, but I did and never looked back. This community of writers is one of those most suppourtive I've found. You only hasve to ask and someone will help you at any stage; and every story gets checked over before posting, with suggested corrections sent back to you. So it helps you learn along the way too (my grammar has gone from 'utterly hideous' to 'hmm getting there').

So seriously, just go for it. You've got nothing to loose, and a whole lot to gain.

We've all been there - agonising about sending the first story, so we do understand and try not to be too mean and heartless... (>[

I have to say, my feeble first effort was very kindly treated and I was sent away with the encouragment to write another one - so blame Chris... :angel)

I don't think I've even been called 'a big gun' either...

Fun though
