FAN FICTION FORUM - Open to all
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
This addresses the fanfic writers members amongst you, most specifically those 'newbies' who have joined us lately (Like Nike, Adam Blue, Captain Canary (since I know you write), and the returning MMK and Intensity Angel - and whoever else I might forget or don't know about your writing skills! I'm also including the already established writers, but they already know about this anyway!
I'd like to attract your attention to the Fan Fiction Forum Board, just at the end of the Fan Fiction Category of this website. You might be interested to know that all members who feel like it are free to participate to any of the Round Robin stories that have started there. You can add the next scene or chapter to the story, in order to make it progress in a logical fashion. You just read the previous parts, and see wherever likely it is going, and add what your imagination tells you! If you're unsure you can ask the topic moderator - in the case of these stories present at the moment, that'll be me - if he/she thinks what you have in mind is appropriate, but this is not a required step and you can just jump ahead!
Or, if any of the stories are not to your liking, you can start your own, and maybe others will be joining in!
Play it cool, be faithful to the previous parts so the story will be coherent, and if the next part should not exactly follow what you have in mind, never mind! The fun of it will be to see where this will be leading to!
Hoping you'll join and have fun!

Sounds cool? Sounds terrifying to me, but I'm a wimp, I know

Group writing simply isn't something I can ever see myself doing, but never say never, I suppose!

There is no such thing as a wimp my diving instructor told me. He went on to say (in a rather long and boring speech) that humans are brave according to their strengths.

It's gonna be tough, but I think seeing others writing on the same fic helps a lot (at least, it will help me). Reading other fics before writing helps me finding the right words for certain situations, but characterizing is probably my nr. 1 problem, and I know it's a hard thing, but I want to be able to do it, I don't want to write 50 ''poor'' stories before I finally get the hang of it, by that time I ran out of inspiration

As long as I don't have to start, my opening paragraphs are awful xD

The basic plotline for "Kong":
The Mysterons make a new threat, and they aim to use the new entirely robotic star of the latest King Kong movie to succeed in this latest mission. So far, the parts have been written to be an amusing story, but you never know when (if?) it could change.
The basic plotkine for "Operation Snoopy":
In February 2004, the Mars lander "Beagle 2" was considered as having crashed on Mars as it fails to communicate back to Earth following its scheduled landing. But now, it makes a surprising comeback. What really happened? And did the Mysterons have ANYTHING to do with its disappearance, more than 60 years ago?
With that in mind... Have fun!

It's funny, the ''The Last Remake of King Kong'' basic idea is one I had a year or so ago, but with a War of the Worlds movie, what if the Mysterons took over the a full size working Martian Fighting Machine build by a very rich WOTW fan?
