Halloween Challenge 2020
Moderators: chrisbishop, Spectrum Strike Force
Just wanted to post a few comments on the stories posted so far. Keeping it brief as my last attempt at a post attracted so many errors that it vanished into the ether. So I’m not going to attempt anything complicated like bold type or suchlike!
666
Chris, lovely to see this one reappear and a splendid opening to the festivities! Time for a sequel?
Time of the Mysterons
Jim, what a clever, original story. You’ve woven the entire Anderverse together so seamlessly. Hope this is the first of many!
The Origin of Annihilation
Marion, masterful, as always. I don’t know how you do it, but so glad you do! But poor Paulie... made to suffer yet again

Shapeshifter
Allison, great to see another story from you. Very creepy! Please keep them coming.
Looks like this will be another good year for the challenge. As always, nothing should be expected from me as Halloween is seriously not my forte. However, for those that can, May your pens and keyboards be on fire with inspiration! There are only a few days to go...

There has certainly been some good stories this year - and more to come, I understand. YAY!
I am looking forward to reading them all.

I still have a few to go, but having beta-read 'Zetsubou' I can recommend that as a damn good read! Another Halloween triumph for Caroline Smith.

Marion, thank you for your kind comment, and may I return the same for 'Annihilation' - a tersely written story with a punchy ending. You never fail us, and like Skybase Girl, I dont know how you keep pulling them out of the witches hat!
Shapeshifter was a great story, and I adored the ending, which genuinely surprised me - well done Allison!
Time of the Mysterons - Jim Murdoch is a new author to the site, and a very intricate tale this was. I was very impressed by its premise and complexity and clever adaptation of Anderverse characters.
And Lee Homer has offered up not one, but TWO stories, Target International Rescue and the Kirska Incident, both fast-paced tightly plotted tales. (and sadly reminded me of my languishing TB/CS crossover...really must make an effort to finish it. Maybe next year...)
and to start it all rolling we had 666 from our very own webmaster - always good to re-read some of the great stories on the SHQ site!
Spectrum is definitely Green!
