UPDATES: 2008 HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE
Moderators: chrisbishop, Spectrum Strike Force
Rewind: Great job Marion. I really enjoyed reading this story. I had to laugh at the part concerning the large billboards. Reminded me of Big Brother in a way.
Parallax Blues: When can we read Part 4?! I'm hooked. A great story so far Chris. The story is really moving in Part 3, why did you end it when you did?
Nightmare: I think the lines from Robbie Williams's song 'Pure' are ideal ' split my sides both times, and laughed until I cired'. I wouldn't want to wake up in bed with Captain Ochre!Good work Sage.
No Rest For The Wicked: Sad yet creppy. I take my hat off to you Keryn, you have explored a wide range of negative emotions with ease.
Nain Rouge: I've always had a fondness to old legends, and this is one I've never heard of. I like how you intrigated it into the story. Well done Rabid Kukaburra.
The Dream Reaper: Nice one RhapsodyAngel8. It's an interesting story you have chosen to share with us. I sure wouldn't want to be in Scarlet's place any day soon...
The Mysteron Curse: I nearly started crying towards the end of this story. I really like the character Angel. It's a amazing story you've wrote Angel Crystal.
Shadow Whispers: Interesting story. Quite dark and mysterious. We see both sides of the coin. Good write Caroline.

It is a special treat to have so many new stories to read, and re-read, savouring all the inventive scariness and seeing Scarlet suffer in so many ways. He does it so well, don't you think?

I would find it impossible to select a favourite because they all had something to recommend them and I hope our newest authors will favour us with further stories in the future.
So, round of applause for us all and back to the keyboard!

The same applies to me – it has taken me this long to get through them all, but it was well worth it.
Intensity Angel – Words of Warning - this has a great storyline and is so vividly creepy (plus it’s great to see NCS Rhaps in the spotlight, for a change). A possibility of more to come... ? Yes, please!
Marion – a wonderfully evocative story with a very disturbing view on how things could be – I love the way it finally ties in so well with an episode we are all familiar with – very cleverly done.
Caroline – oh my! So chilling and brilliantly told. Wonderfully dark and quite gripping. I loved it!
Chris – Wow! A truly superb story told with such style! The deception was so cleverly crafted and the resolution was perfect. I was totally hooked from the beginning.
I hope it doesn’t take me quite so long to read through the Christmas ones *thinks – must set aside time... must set side time...*
Thank you, everyone, for sharing your stories.

Still trying to finally catch up with the last two parts of "Parallax Blues". I am ashamed to say I've picked out the shorter stories initially this year, purely for time purposes, although I am aware that the longer pieces bring with them their own special rewards.
Intensity, I really liked your Rhapsody/Destiny piece, and I echo RhapsodyAngel8, in that it's nice to see the minor characters getting some attention. Although your romantic pairing of Capt Grey and Rhaps was different to how I saw things, I really enjoyed your take on it, and I did think there were similarities in how we viewed the characters !
I know you like to write for both series, but I am delighted that NCS has shown that it has some staying power, despite it's dismal beginnings.

A writer to is to their own. How I interpret things may be completely different to how other people see things. I know you and me don't see exactly eye to eye with our NCS Fan Fiction but that makes things fun. Seeing how people see things in the NCS world.
Yes, NCS does have some staying power, and if I shake off my current Writer's Block

I'm glad you enjoyed my take on NCS, and I thank RA8 and MMK for commenting too. I was beginning to think that people had forgotten about the jinx story. It was pain in the backside when it came to beta reading.
