I knew that when I glanced at "Heartless", it would be unlikely to be a two- minute read. Having skimmed it ( it's great ! ) I am hoping to find some time to savour it this weekend, although chance may indeed turn out to be a fine thing. Will respond in full eventually, !

Your attention to detail is remarkable, Chris. And the characterisations were so strong, I felt sorry for all of them, even the villainous Frank Vincent Jnr. They were all victims of tragedy, in their own way. It also raised some interesting questons about retrometablism in general. I wonder what would have happened if the heart of the Mysteronised Ellsworth had been used ? Would the effect have been the same ? ( I'll probably drive myself to distraction thinking about this, but at least I won't have nightmares about the gory details. I'm not good at Gothic horror !)
The picture and caption montage was both inspired and hilarious - that cheered me up ! Well, done, everybody.
Looking forward now to some Christmas cheer !

I did get to grips with "Heartless", and very chilling and macabre, it is !
I couldn't agree more, Skybase Girl. It was a fab story, part horror, part thriller, part crime-story. I started and couldn't put it down. What a really good idea to explore, and Chris has the smarts to make it into a cracking tale.
Nice one Colonel!
