Yeah the NCS mysteronization of Scarlet doesn't live up to it.
If I'm being honest, it's great to see some variation in the Mysterons tatics of killing people.
Speaking of the episode where the plane gets struck by lightning, it would explain why Melody didn't see clearly what happened if the Mysterons were controlling the weather- the Mysterons took a chance with that one though. They mysteronized people right under a Spectrum agent's nose!

I wonder if the Mysterons reconstructed the XQR and the people within under Melody's nose just to prove that they can. You know, to get under Spectrum's skin a bit. Perhaps even to try to shake Melody, or make her doubt herself...
