But, after the X-rays were developed, it seemed that he showed a positive image at a much-slower rate!
First, the shadow of his bones appeared, then a dark shadow, until a fully positive image finally appeared.....unlike the Mysteronized Captain Indigo, who registered almost immediately on the Mysteron Detector! (It is postulated that the Mysteron Detector works on exactly the same principles as the X-ray camera on Cloudbase.)
Now, why did it take much longer for Magnus to register positive on the X-ray?
Any thoughts?

I have no idea. Maybe it naturally takes a while, but in the end they fine tuned the technology so that with the detector it'll develop itself quickly (like a polaroid does). as they knew what they were looking for.
Can you tell technology was never really my strong suit.

And Sage was right. That was exactly what they did. Add to that how low the Roentgen radiation used in that photo was and how much higher that which the C38 Mysteron detectors employ is. If the radiation is too low, it will not deflect immediately. It will deflect, though, and the aftereffects will become manifest with time.
