[Skybase Girl]

Isabelle Saucier's third story for this website doesn't disappoint. Building on the acutely- observed characterizations she displayed previously, she's delivered an unusual take on the "What happened after the episode ended" premise.

Her 'take' on the relationship between NCS Captain Blue and Lieutenant Green is tender, sweet, but also totally believable. Some of the...ahem....'adult' scenes are executed with admirable grace and humour. Small touches like Green's love of herbal teas as opposed to Adam's 'jet-fuel' coffee paints an intimate picture of the characters; Colonel White's affection and concern for his XO is also finely drawn. I found my mental image of Skybase changing as a result of Isabelle's descriptions. The staff quarters, Sickbay, Central Control; all were laid out like a picture; I could even see the Armoury, a place I had previously given no thought to. Ms Saucier has done her research!

I had the pleasure of beta-reading this, so I had a head-start on it. But I can say without bias that it's a recommended good read!
