Rock a bye angel

I really liked the story of 'Rock a bye Angel' especially the last bit where they all start crying. :cry:

It was extremely funny too :-D

You could see very clearly everything that happened . I could also imagine very well the part with Captain Scarlet singing away there. But I thought it got a bit soppy when Symphony and Blue went all kissy, and the same when Rhapsody and Scarlet did as well. 0---0

But I really think that this is a really great story!***** A Five Star Story! And Two thumbs up! :wink:

Yup I loved the story, always been a sucker for cute babies. Can even, in the right mood, love the soppy parts.

Aww love the aviator pic, so cute. Is that your rabbit?

The rabbit on my avatar isn't my rabbit but it's very close to my rabbit, same breed, slightly different colours. My rabbit is a ratbag if ever there was one :wink:

What was your favourite part of the story?
I liked it all the same. I am trying to write one of my own stories - which I hope one day, will go on the site!:grin:

The avatar rabbit is a lionhead, unless I'm very much mistaken (and I hope I'm not. All that RSPCA training down the drain). I always imagined that they'd be a pain to look after with all that excess fur, but not as much as cashmeres or angoras (and anyone who has ever owned one will, I'm sure, be aquainted with the pleasure of removing poo from long tangled fur - yum). I'll stick with my short-haired mongrel menaces, thanks.

I think that my favourite part of "Rockabye Angel" would have to be that scene in the Amber Room where Green appears with the baby supplies. Symphony's reaction cracks me up. Hats off, kudos and massive rounds of applause to Marion and Chris for this masterpiece of fan fiction. I know that they worked hard on it, and it shows. Well done!

Thank you folks - as one half of the duo - for those kind words :oops:

Actually all the hard work was done by Chris - the Plot Queen - I just did as I was told :angel)

... and had far too much fun and - hopefully- learned a lot too for when I start my own stories :wink:

. (Well, we can but hope!)
As for the kissy bits - I reckon we did one each... I'll leave to you to work out who did which couple's intimate moments...

I don't think you can go past the section in Cloudbase where Dr Fawn provides the solution for caring for the baby. Maybe the Captains and Angels shouldn't have described him as 'a nasty doctor' - is WAS an inspired solution - with perhaps the tiniest smidgeon of revenge.

I liked this story very much - it's one thing to have loads of equipment and weaponry available to battle the Mysterons, but quite another to rustle up nappies and formula on Cloudbase!

It was a hilarious story!!

“Now, now…” Ochre was saying to the whimpering child. “Don’t listen to the nasty doctor… He doesn’t mean it…”

"Yes, he’s a very nasty doctor," Scarlet added.

The Angels approved with energetic nods.

text S'vay nice story and happy-ish ending

“Dorje Wangdak, the Lord Protector, whom nothing would make yield…” Scarlet recited with a faint, awkward smile. “That sounds a little grand, don’t you think?”

“I looked that name up,” Melody piped up from behind, attracting their attention. She was smiling mischievously as she approached the couple. “Wangdak does mean ‘Lord Protector’ – but apparently, His Holiness, the Panchen Lama was very liberal with the ‘Dorje’ name. Mind you, it’s rather vague …”

“What does it mean?” Scarlet asked with curiosity.

Melody’s smile broadened. “It refers to something indestructible… which can cut through anything… And I, for one, think it is most fitting.”

Scarlet answered her smile with a grin of his own, before turning around slowly; he went to stand right next to Harmony, who was staring through the porthole of the hangar access door.

“That’s two firsts today,” Symphony said tenderly, standing a little behind, right next to Blue. “He took his first steps and he blew his first kiss! He’s a clever boy; I knew he’d get the hang of it – I was trying to teach him, Adam – as a Christmas surprise for Harmony…”

Blue smiled and glanced at Harmony. Scarlet had his arm around her slender shoulder as they watched the party leave. Harmony’s eyes sparkled with a suspicious brightness and Scarlet’s expression was one of rigid military correctness - a sure sign he was feeling emotional.

Blue glanced down at Symphony to see her eyes were also full of unshed tears. He placed a hand on her shoulder, squeezing gently and said softly, “Make it three firsts…I think he’s broken his first hearts too…”

Her hand gripped his fingers as a tear stole down her cheek.

I think she should write a kind of sequel:D
