Just finished it, and it's fab as usual ! Wish I knew how you did it! Glad that Paul and Di had a "kind of happy" ending, but I hope the Colonel gave them a long holiday to recover from their injuries - hopefully somewhere more exotic than Castle Cathcart ! :wink:

It's nice to take a break from writing and calendar-making (well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it,) in order to sit down and truly enjoy some of the festive fare that has been provided for this year's challenge.
I read this in its entirety at lunchtime today, athough I really ought to have left it for this evening, accompanied by a large glass of malt... :grin:

Another superlative offering by Marion. It has everything: romance, action, amusing banter, not to mention a very tasty pic of Scarlet in a red sweater, although it's thankfully not as obvious as the Christmas jumper worn by Colin Firth in Bridget Jones... :grin:

I quite agree - it's nice to go back and re-read stuff at your leisure later. No matter how good you think anything's been initally, it always benefits from a more measured judgement later.

That, I have to say, can go on for years, and Marion's stuff is typical. I love dipping into her back catalogue when I want a particular inference or atmosphere - or just when I need to be reminded of how decent writing should be done !

I've been re-reading 'tears of a clown' a fair bit, as it was an inspiration for my own fic. Every reading you pick out new details and the mood of it.
Mine is probably long way of that skill.
