I forgot the Spectrum Shade regions, each one led by a Spectrum Captain:

With Captain Scarlet now the strip in TV Century 21, 'Twenty-One' let Colonel White share editorship as Spectrum had a recruitment drive for 'Shades' - junior agents who could report Mysteron activities or anything else unusual. The United Kingdom was divided into twelve colour-coded 'Operational Areas', each reporting to a Spectrum Captain:

1. Captain Ochre - North Scotland
2. Captain Blue - South Scotland
3. Captain Orange - Northern Ireland
4. Captain Saffron - Northern England
5. Captain Magenta - Ireland (naturally!)
6. Captain Purple - Mid/Northern England
7. Captain Grey - North Wales
8. Captain Pink - Midlands
9. Captain Khaki - Anglia
10. Captain Navy - South Wales
11. Captain Umber - South West England
12. Captain Cream - South East England

But did any of them report directly to Captain Scarlet?

Doesn't look like it. I'm sure the list would specify if anywhere did. However, that list is only for the UK, and boy, are they going to be stretched if they divide the rest of the globe up that minutely!
Maybe Scarlet got 'The Rest of the World'?
Personally, I will be moving to Southern Scotland at the first opportunity!

No new officers in either of the storybooks.

Shaqui, it was either in the 2 1967 Storybooks or in the 67/68 Annual that I read Captain Saffron (Mk. I) and Modesty Angel.
Unfortunately, I no longer have these three books now.

Seeing this topic revived has reminded me that over the years I've read TV21 fans' opinions on the 'carving up of the UK' for Spectrum Shades....and the overwhelming opinion has been that no one has ever wanted to report to Captain Pink.
