Who could be the star?

I've been saying that to everyone (That Halle Berry is the perfect female Lt. Green) for ages on MSN and on the IMDB, but did anyone listen? Nooo...

Halle Berry is perfect for the role. She looks like her, shes a good actress (I think)...she just...IS perfect for it...

Not too long ago, there was a limited series program in which Bryan Brown acted out both the good guy and the bad guy, titled "The Wanderer." An actress named Kim Thomson was one of its cast members, and the fact that she has aristocratic features and flaming red hair made me wonder: Is she an appropriate choice to act out the Rhapsody Angel?

Not at all suitable for Captain Blue. That role should go to an American. Say, David Chokachi of "Baywatch" and "Witchblade." He, at least, hails from Massachusetts.

Why not Matthew Waterhouse as Captain Scarlet? He made his role as Adric, from the 18th and 19th seasons of Doctor Who, seem believable.

I had Matthew McConaughey in mind years ago for a possible role as Captain Blue, but in recent years, the following fellows might possibly be able to make the finale for the role (in my humble opinion):

Josh Lucas - whom I remember seeing as Major Talbot in "The Hulk" movie. Does look A LOT like our Blue, but is a little short for the role (5ft 11inches). A little movie magic might be needed to make him appear taller.

Paul Walker, a rising star, whom we first really discover in "The Fast and the Furious". He does have the right size (6ft 3inches), has established himself as a good actor. My vote would go for him.

None fo these guys are from Boston (Lucas is from Arkansas, and Walker is Californian), but where they are from really doesn't matter, is it? As actors they would simply need to make believe - just like Ed Bishop (hailing from Brooklyn) did, in the original role.

Just like the actress who would be playing Harmony would not need to know any martial arts. Pat Morita didn't know karate at all when he played Miyagi in "Karate Kid". It didn't stop him to make us believe he was a very believable Sensei!

He could always put on weight to fit the role (he probably wouldn't look as... er, how should I say this... 'handsome' :wink:

).
For example: Robert De Niro had to put on weight for part of his role in Raging bull.

Think they meant light weight in the sense of talent/stage precense. Compared to Jack Harkness Scarlet's a bit more 'dark' and brooding.

If they had been live-action say, 5-10 yrs ago I'd have suggested Robert Duncan McNeill who played Lieutenant Tom Paris in Star Trek: Voyager for Captain Blue.

Josh Lucas as Blue is a real possibility. I'm beginning to think I prefer him to Aaron Eckhardt. Paul Walker looks a bit too young for me.

Still think Eric Close ( from "Without a Trace" ) is my perfect Scarlet, although I'm aware that because I can't really define why I think so, it's probably not an opinion people will share. Hugh Jackman is about 80% perfect.....

Zhang Zhyi ( no idea if I've spelled that right ) from "Flying Daggers" is another oriental actress who would make a good Harmony. That's OCS of course. I simply haven't a clue who I would cast in the CGI version.

It's hard to think of a quintessentially British actor with the right looks, and in the right age group, to play Colonel White. Ian McKellen, wonderful actor as he is, is too old, in my view. Certainly, the NCS version is only fifty-five, can't remember if OCS was about the same.

Kim Thomson would be a very good OCS Rhapsody. I remember thinking that some years ago - wasn't sure exactly how old she'd be, now. As for NCS Rhapsody - how about Ellen Pompeo from "Grey's Anatomy" ?
