Alan Rickman
... Sounds good

Or if your talking about the Sean Connery "Now" then I thinkt that he would make a good Colonel White... possibly?
I was watching 'The World is Not Enough' recently and there was one shot of the bad guy (Renard) that made me think that he would make a good Captain Black
Sorry, I couldn't get a pic 'cos I don't have the same technology as everone else... I'll try find a pic though

I don't know who Clive Owen, Paul Bettany and Keira Knightly are, but I think Julian McMahon would be brilliant as Captain Black. (And I'm not just saying that because he is Australian!

Scarlet's Eleven!
World President - Morgan Freeman (he played a president) or George Clooney (he was the president in the 'Spy Kids' movies, right?)
Colonel White - Liam Neeson
Lieutenant Green - Jamie Foxx
Captain Scarlet - Tom Cruise
Captain Blue - Brad Pitt
Captain Magenta - Owen Wilson
Captain Ochre - Uma Thurman (she wore yellow nicely in 'Kill Bill')
Captain Black Christian Bale
Destiny Angel - Charlize Theron
Harmony Angel - Halle Berry
Symphony Angel - Angelina Jolie
Okay, okay, I'm only serious about a few of these.
I'll let you figure out which ones...

Assuming, hypothetically they did a live action film or something on the original Scarlet what actors and so on
I see on the updated character profiles Chris has suggested some actors and I couldn't but think...
Colin Farrell as Magenta?
I'm at a loss for others.

You are definitely not serious about Tom Cruise as Scarlet. Please tell me you're not serious? Please?

I do like the idea of Liam Neeson as Colonel White, though.

I believe, that perhaps Colin Farrell would suit well. The bad boy attitude serving the former crime boss past, the Irish/American accent.
From Ballykissangel to Scarlet. ha!
Clearly, I am thinking of the original Scarlet.
(And Wilson ruined Starsky & Hutch, I emphasise with David 'The Soulman' Soul over Don't Give Up On Us Baby)

When I read that, I thought John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness) from Doctor Who/Torchwood would be someone who could play Captain Scarlet if it was to return to the TV scene as a live action series.
As for movie version, so many actors to choose from to play the roles, I'll have to give it some thought.

John Barrowman is way too light weight for Scarlet. Clive Owen ? Not sure.
I quite like Eric Close for Scarlet- have to admit he doesn't look like either the puppet or the CGI image, but he has " qualities", as far as I'm concerned !
Blue is difficult, because there are not many really blond actors, but Josh Lucas or Aaron Eckhardt would be good candidates.
Have always thought Charlize Theron would be a good Destiny, Uma Thurman is also in the running. They are both a bit tall for OCS Destiny, but would be OK for the CGI version !
Then if we're talking CGI, ( which I guess you guys weren't ), Halle Berry is the perfect Lt Green.
