UPDATES: February & March 2012
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
The Christmas Challenge is finished for this year! But don't worry, next year it'll b back again, with more stories! If you wanted to participate and couldn't, whatever the reason, next year, you'll have your chance again!
In the meantime, the Spectrum HQ website resumes its regular activities. The 10th anniversary celebration is also nearly finished, but that doesn't mean that we'll stop! We'll continue to update our pages and add new stories throughout the year!
And it starts now. With updates to our FAN FICTION PAGES. And with not one, but TWO comebacks!
First:
OUT OF THE PIT, by Jack Heston. In Tokyo, Captain Black wakes up a free man... But does Spectrum really dare to believe the Mysterons lost control of him? ff 484

Jack Heston is known within the fandom community as a writers who presented a number of stories within the pages of Australian fanzines in the 80s, such as Red Alert! and Syndicated Images. We have the privilege here at Spectrum HQ to have some of his stories within our collection: his Captain Scarlet stories, of course, as well as a very interesting Fireball XL5 story in the Sid Database section of our website. With this brand new, original Captain Scarlet story, Jack makes his return to fan fiction writing. I thank him very much for this wonderful gift for the Spectrum HQ website 10th anniversary! Welcome back, Jack!
TWO OF A KIND. Captain Scarlet is sent to a New York University to assist a team of professors with the calibration of a new Mysteron detection device. There he meets not only an interesting and idealistic psychology professor, but the uncertainty of an alternate destiny for them both. ff 76

Lady Hawke had been one of the first authors to grace our pages with her stories. She makes a much welcome comeback this year, with a revision of her first Captain Scarlet story on Spectrum HQ, just in time for the 10th Anniversary! Her other stories will also be the objects of revision, so stay tuned for more to come. Also to Lady Hawke, a much warm welcome back amongst us!
MERCHANDISING AND TRADING PAGES:
A long overdue information that we forgot to put on our Marchandising section, the ROBERT HARROP'S CAPTAIN SCARLET FIGURINES COLLECTION has been offered to fans since 2010! We're correcting this oversight today, with a link to the Harrop's website, that you can find at the top of this page:

Do check! The collection is very beautiful.
And also, the very interesting and much sought-after ANDERSONIC MAGAZINE has now released its 13th Issue!

MISTAKEN IDENTITY. Anything can happen while you're on vacation- bad weather, lost luggage, lumpy beds, wrong turns. But when Captain Scarlet grudgingly agrees to accompany his partner on a trip to the Cascade Mountains of Washington State, disaster is definitely not on their itinerary! Inspired by the author's real trip to Mt. Rainier! This is Lady Hawke's fourth Captain Scarlet story. ff 72 Originally posted August 2, 2002

THE DEVIL TAKE JERSEY. When Captain Ivory goes missing during a furlough to her home state of New Jersey, Captain Blue, in temporary command, sends Captains Scarlet and Turquoise to investigate. As they gather their data, Turquoise's Cherokee belief in Native American mysticism and his trust in the existence of the mysterious and unexplainable come into conflict with Scarlet's matter-of-fact deductive methods. Yet the unlikely clues add up to only one fantasical cause...ff 76 HALLOWEEN story. Originally posted October 1, 2002.
