As you could see, we have now a brand new forum to offer you! With a new look (or 'new looks', if you choose to use your own personal theme, now that you'll be allowed to!), new features, and new material! We invite you to check the Technical help thread we just entered to give you all the information you might want to know about what happened to our forum... And we also invite you to browse around and have fun to discover all of what this new forum can offer you!

While the forum was down, the website, as you have noticed, was still there - and things happened during that short - but all too long - period during which the forum was unavailable. We did work very hard to get the forum back online, and stories were received for our 10th anniversary. One such story has been posted. A wonderful story, specifically written for 10th anniversary, by one of our most talented writer, that we invite you to read straight away, if it's not already done:
THIS IS CLOUDBASE 2078, by Caroline Smith. Cloudbase and her staff, seen through the eyes of the onboard counsellor.
Enjoy it!
And come back again soon! The forum is back, and us with it... and we are here to stay!

And a big thank you to Colonel Chris for all her hard work at restoring the forum to us. She even worked at it on her holidays!

This week, the Spectrum HQ website offers a new story in our fanfiction collection, presented on the occasion of the website's 10th anniversary:
EPIPHANIES, by Johcafra. A retired Captain Scarlet receives the visit of trainees from Spectrum. ff 466

Also, on our LINKS page, two new links were added:
THE ED STRAKER HERALD (on all things UFO).
and ROBERT HARROP COLLECTIBLE FIGURINES (where you can find figurines and models of Captain Scarlet, Thunderbirds and Stingray).

Finally, some of you will have noticed, we started upgrading our pages to accomodate widescreen viewing. So if you have a widescreen, you will see some of our pages centering in the middle of your screen, instead of taking a 100% of it. This will greatly improve reading and viewing of our pages, by presenting them into the resolution they were created from. This operation obviously takes time, as the website litterally have hundreds of pages, so be patient as we'll upgrade them gradually. This week, the main page for Spectrum HQ was made, along as the presenting pages for most of the Fan Fiction section.
Have fun and come soon!

On the "Related Interests" page, in the "Merchandising and Trading Page" section of our website, a few items have been added - along with two new categories: "Mars and Martian Invaders" (surely, you know why...) and "Just for the Heck of it" (And you will see why...)
In "Mars and Martian Invaders", we added the following movies on DVD and/or Blu-Ray:
"INVADERS FROM MARS" (both the 1953 and 1986 versions)
"MARS ATTACKS! (the Tim Burton's film from 2008)
"THE ANGRY RED PLANET" (originally released in 1960)
"INVISIBLE INVADERS" (from 1959 - with another movie "Journey to the 7th Planet" also included).
In the "Just for the Heck of it" section, we added the following movies in all its available versions for Region 1 and 2, in DVD and/or Blu-Ray:
"PAUL", a 2011 comedy written by and starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
The last addition of our "Related Interests" page is listed in the section "Cast-Featured Movies/Television Series/Audio":
"THE ADVENTURES OF SEXTON BLAKE", a hilarious BBC Audio disc, featuring Wayne Forester, the voice of New Captain Scarlet.

First, presented for the website's 10th Anniversary, a new addition to Keryn's popular "Boards of Enquiry". This time entitled "THE BOARD OF ENQUIRY RECONVENES", this new entry will make you laugh with new consequences to events which happened in the world of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons!

Secondly - not a Captain Scarlet story, but a Fireball XL5 story, written by Jack Heston, whose excellent CS stories have been enjoyed by Spectrum HQ visitors - and by readers of the RED ALERT! fanzine. "ANCIENT AND AGELESS", which previously appeared on the RED ALERT! website, now graces the page of SID Database, where you'll be able to read it again - or for the first time, if you missed it!
