UPDATES: April 2009
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
Well, for my defense, I did move the updates for the two fanfic challenges (Halloween and Christmas) to the Fanfiction section, but since the Christmas Challenge came to an end... uh... Yes, guilty, Your Honour! I kind of forgot.
So I believe it's time I list here the various updates the website has been having in the last weeks/months.
FEBRUARY 14, 2009:
In the FAN FICTION section, we had the story "Valentine Captains", by Ronda Curtner, an answer to last year's "Valentine Angels". The wondrous picture adorning this very fun story can also be found in the FAN ARTS section.
MARCH 3, 2009:
Lots of updates for that date! Starting with two very interesting and fun documents that were put in the FAN FICTION section. "Spectrum's Finest", is a spoof of the NCS, from our own Brindlewhite, and "Romance and Danger", by SciFiBob, offers us a very amusing and quite unexpected cross-over...
New documents were also posted in the FAN FICTION TOOLS AND DOCUMENTS to be used by those who wrote Captain Scarlet stories: "The Colours Chart" (for Spectrum officers' codenames...) and the "Spectrum Organisation Chart", a suggestion of the hierarchical links between Spectrum's offices and establishments. A button to access this section has been added on the Fan Fiction Main Page.
In the CAST OF CHARACTERS section, the RHAPSODY ANGEL page was revamped with new material and layout. We expect to finish all the main characters this year...
UPDATES MARCH 9, 2009:
SITE UPDATES:
- Gallery added to the website, with access button added to main menu.
On MARCH 9, 2009, a lot has been going on:
SITE UPDATES: If you don't already know it, a GALLERY has been added to be website. Access can be found up here, on this forum, on on every main pages of the website, in the coloured buttons on the side of the pages.
In the FANFICTION TOOLS AND DOCUMENTS section, a very useful SUBMISSION GUIDELINES has been posted as well, to help those who don't quite know how to submit their stories to this website (and I believe, many other websites have similar requests or suggestions).
In the CAST OF CHARACTERS section - no, not another revamped page on our cast already, but actually, a new page listing the REGULAR CAST APPEARANCES in all the episodes of the TV series.
In the MISCELLANEOUS section, provided by our own Talia Gray, new copies of the End Credits panels, by Ron Embleton, have replaced those we already have. If you want to find the best online copies of these painting, here's the place to check!
The LINKS page has been redesigned with a new presentation, new links have been added and dead links removed. If you have suggestion for added links, just contact me about it!
MARCH 15, 2009:
A new FAN FICTION story, by Marion Woods, is posted. "Natural Selection" explores the very beginnings of Spectrum.
It's also a good day for Gerry Anderson related MERCHANDISING: check the FEATURED ITEMS page for various books and DVD/Blu-Ray collections:
"Filmed in Supermarionation, a History of the Future", by Stephen LaRivière.
"Century 21: Classic Comic Strips from the World of Gerry Anderson", volumes 1 and 2.
"Special Effects Superman: The Miniature Effects of Derek Meddings".
"Thunderbirds" Blu-Ray
"Journey to the Far Side of the Sun", Regions 1 and 2 DVD
"Dick Spanner, P.I.", Region 2 DVD.
APRIL 1st, 2009:
In the FAN FICTION section, "Relative Troubles", by Sage Harper has been posted. It tells the story of Spectrum, as they struggle with various parts of an operation to save Captain Blue's family from kidnappers.
And the CAST OF CHARACTERS offers another new page: this time, listing the REVAMP CAST APPEARANCES. All the puppets (More than 40 of them!) appearing in the series, with pictures, and voice performers (when available!)
I'll try to be more faithful on my next updates!

Sounds like I've been visiting this site as much as you Chris

(only joking)
But seriously, it's amazing how much real life can get in the way of fan fic writing etc.
Despite it being one long update, I'm sure we can all forgive you for that Chris for all the work you do for this site!

that's madness with a little 'm'... as in 'crazy'...

We're very near to complete all the main characters (work is proceeding on Melody Angel and Captain Black).

Go to http://www.spectrum-headquarters.com/page3.html to access both pages.
Of the main characters, only Doctor Fawn is left to do. And then, there will be three additional, shorter pages for three supporting characters: Captain Brown, Captain Indigo and World President Younger.
A list of other supporting characters will also be included in the following weeks, and a few modifications will be done to the already existing pages, which should complete this revitalisation project.
Come soon for more!
