I agree with Father Unwin on the 'Switching off' on dogfights, bit. This was something different from the usual Vampire Jets.
One critical point that bugged me was that White's voice seemed to change momentarily when he was barking his orders.
This episode plays to one of my favourite scenes in the series, where Scarlet lands in the snow - the attention to detail on the porch of Black & Destiny's place was absolutely gobsmacking! The shadowing on particularly Scarlet & Blue as they attempt to get inside the alien craft was another brilliant piece, beautifully lit.
The sound did it's job perfectly in luring you into that sense of uneasiness as they first found themselves above the craft, and Blue's face is as priceless as Scarlet's when he saw Destiny with Black.
Scarlet's dialogue it that piece is great to "And you two get to live happily ever after" with a sense of 'oh no you don't' about it I think you'll agree. Though before he saw Black, I think he suspected exactly what was coming!
Blue and Ochre... or not!? I agree with Serena, there's something there, but is it just a bit of harmless flirting? We'll never know.
It's also interesting that some of the characters have a slightly different spin on them in when seen in the manipulated Universe - although nowhere near their exaggerated selves in OCS "Attack on Cloudbase".
The re-animated Mars sequence also had a good sense of uneasiness, and part of you hopes that Scarlet can convince Black not to fire. Then Black turns - spectacular!
Another pleasing thing for me - the Mysterons actually won a 'round' although unfortunately we don't get to see how - that could have even been the killer scene in the episode. Also oil - is there going to be any left by then? If so think it's unlikely it'll be in use!
Also, poor old Magenta was overlooked again, and we had very little from the remaining Angels again.
