I have reason to believe that what with his powers of retro-metabolism, Captain Scarlet would be almost a universal organ donor. What would be more, not only would he regenerate any organs he donated to any recipient, but also would those organs probably regenerate themselves almost indefinitely, making such transplants possibly once-and-done.

I had a plot bunny a while ago about writing a story which involved those issues. But abandoned it ultimatly because I'm not sure it would be possible, due to the retrometabolism.

The chances of transplanted organs being rejected is very high in normal situations, and probably higher still with the completely alien DNA from Scarlet, which would have serious consequences. Particularly if the retrometabolism 'infected' and spread to the rest of the body.

Of course it's all speculative. So there's an equal chance someone could write a story and make the pro-transplant theory work. I just couldn't manage it myself at that time.
