X-Rays & MRIs

It is a fact that Mysterons are imperious to X-rays.

But, would they be just as equally impervious to MRIs (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)?

Or, would they be as vulnerable to the powerful magnetic fields generated by the MRIs, as they would be by electricity?

It's been said that X-rays are no longer used by 2068, which is why no one made the discovery earlier. I would assume that the MRI took over from X-rays and this is what Dr. Fawn uses on Scarlet for imaging purposes.

As far as I know, MRI works using magnetic fields and radio waves. X-rays fall at the opposite end of the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum to radio waves, and I think it would be fairly safe to assume that Scarlet would be as permeable by radio as we humans are.

I'm sure that the physicists could explain in more detail if you let them...

That's a very good point! :wink:

However, If it were'nt for Dr. Magnus' use of X-rays, the idea for the Mysteron Detectors, might have never been concieved. :wink:

I bet the Myserons weren't happy about that little accident, but I'm sure Captain Scarlet finds the MRI scans just plain annoying all the time anyway.
