New Captain Scarlet Books

The Ladybird books (Swarm and Achilles Messenger), Spectrum Agents' Handbook, various sticker books, the Funfax and Instrument of Destruction were all in Ottakars today. The Ladybird books are very nicely done, screen caps on every page.

Nothing at all about Rhapsody in any of them though, Chris. Infact the books all seem to concentrate on the main characters, nothing about the rest of the Spectrum agents or Angels. I haven't seen Harmony mentioned anywhere yet either.

Darn... I tried Borders in London today on the way back from Colindale, and they had them in (according to their stock computer) but they were not out on the shelves yet!

I already ordered my copies of all those books from Amazon. Should receive them in due time :grin:

In the meantime, I should go in search of cover pics, to put on the merchandises page!

I gather my copies are now waitng for me at home - gonna be a busy evening looking through those and sorting a batch of 200 odd comics which has also ben delivered...

I was thinking about buing these books and found that Amazon's market place has some really low prices including Swarm for .01 pound!! I added all the books to my basket and the total came to less than 9.00 for something like 6-7 books.

The total postage though was and additional 40 pounds!!!! YIKES!! I guess they don't account for multiple items in one package. Still, people in England may want to check it out as I am sure their postage is a lot less - maybe.

Saw the Spectrum Agent's Handbook this morning. I have to admit, having seen one or two other pieces of merchandise I was quite looking forward to getting it. After flicjking through, I left it on the shelf. I can only think of one phrase to describe it, and it would get me banned from the site.
It is very badly printed in black and white on what appears to be very low grade paper. 80gsm copier paper is higher quality. For anyone who is thinking of ordering this online I would say one thing: Don't waste your money.
