Captain Scarlet and The Mysterons : The Vauilt
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
In a word: gorgeous.
The book covers not only the episodes and characters but also behind the scenes info and pics, the voice artists, the music, Century 21 merchandising including TV21, also board games, confectionery cards, etc....it's pretty good. The photos are marvellous and at 208 pages and hardcover, it's a heavy book to handle at times.
Like the Haynes Manual, The Vault is definitely worth buying.

By the time I'd persuaded myself to afford the Scarlet Haynes Manual, they'd sold out, but I'll certainly order one online.

I had pity on Graham Bleathman and only got a signature for the Haynes manual (he also offered drawings but considering his popularity and talent, he was quickly overwhelmed!). He told me that it could always be "upgraded" another time, so Skybase Girl, he could sign yours eventually!

Other gifts to myself were Big Finish newly release of the original audio adventures which came in a rather handsome booklike case. Within the case were many audio adaptations of several TV episodes. And what do you know, they corrected the sound problem with the 'Captain Scarlet VS Captain Black' audio - you know, how slooooooooowwwwww the voices were becoming towards the end...
I also bought from Big Finish the three Spectrum Files, with the talented voices of Liz Morgan, Wayne Forester and David Graham (who was the narrator). Well worth the money! I'm halfway through the first story!

Yes, Isa, console yourself with the thought NCS might get a book to itself...

One observation: Between this book and the "Spectrum Agents' Manual", there's very scant info on Captains Brown and Indigo. I know they were only in one episode each, and died by the end, but more pictures of them in uniform and biographical data would have been nice.
Of course that leaves more leeway for fan writers to make up their own info!
