CGI Scarlet DVD blurb...

...anyone else think it's a little goofy and over-complicated? I took this from the description at play, but looking at vol 1 in Woolworths today (in at number 10) it was pretty much the same...

'Captain Scarlet is the indestructible hero of spectrum at war with the mysteron. Even though they managed to kill him with a self-made weapon, the Mysterons rebuilt Scarlet as an invincible human replica to infiltrate Earth and lead their war against our planet. But Captain Scarlet's human psyche survived, took control of his human body, and now this indestructible hero leads the fight against the evil force.'

THE Mysteron? Just the one?

And what's with that 'self-made weapon'?

MYSTERON 1: Excellent! Scarlet is dead. Now, I will rebuild him as an invincible human replica to infiltrate Earth and lead our war against their planet!

MYSTERON 2: You'll what?

MYSTERON: I'll rebuild him as an invincible hu-

MYSTERON 2: That's what I thought you said. But...

MYSTERON 1: But what?

MYSTERON 2: But we killed him. With this weapon. I built it myself...

MYSTERON 1: But we can still rebuild him.

MYSTERON 2: Even after my weapon frazzled him?

MYSTERON 1: Look, it's not that good...

MYSTERON 2: I spent a lot of time on it...

Well Volume 1 and the Box Set both have the same release date - Mon Oct 17 - and as the new CS mag says 'Available at ASDA' on the back, I may try them on the way home!

Yeah, you're right ... that sucks!
I know how much they pay copy writers for it (am doing a media writing degree) and that's the best they could come out with? such a shame.

Ah well, we're not buying it just for that.

I shall invest of course, gotta love play.com

Just wondering, when does season 2 come out?

Yeah, saw Vol 1 in Woolworths on Saturday the 15th. Number 10 in the kids DVD chart. No sign of the box set.

The error seems to have been rectified on the box set itself, which reads 'Mysterons'. The rest is the same though, except the last line which reads:

Season 1 boxset wrote:'...this indestructible hero leads the fight against this evil force.'

I'll soon be up to speed... :-D
