CS T-shirts

Just curious... does any one have or remember CS t-shirts being released (as merchandise) during the 1990's?
Because when looking through some old photos :roll:

I found a pic of a young me with a few members of my family... and in that picture I noticed that my brother was wearing a CS t-shirt...

(I shall post part of the pic that has said t-shirt if anyone wishes me to do so)

I think the eBay advert said 1993, but my mother got me and Captain Black (mens) teeshirt a couple of months ago that I am wearing religiously as nightwear.

EDIT - Wow, that's bad grammar. :shock:

I think the picture was about 1993... possibly even 1994.

Definitely that time period. I picked up several, along with a lot of other CS merchandise, when I attended the 1993 "Space City" Fanderson convention, and again in 1994 when I was in London with my son.

My mother bought one (blue with a portrait of the captain on) off ebay and then expected me to wear it!
More recently she got a black one with a logo - a little less obvious - and she's worn that one herself - in public... :-D

I wish I knew about these conventions etc.
Are they still going?

I'm in Australia. I feel it might be more celebrated in the UK.

There were a couple in the 1980s as well. I think one was a red monotone full figure Captain Scarlet photo with the series logo (the annual version not the TV one) and a full colour portrait with the Spectrum symbol. I recall getting one at the same time as the initial Channel 5 VHS release of 'Revenge of the Mysterons'.

I bought one from a beach shop in St Helier, Jersey, that had a very bad picture of Scarlet printed in dots like the Ray Lichtensten pictures. That was in 1994.

I've got a 1993 t-shirt kicking about somewhere. I'll go hunting for it. It's white with Captain Scarlet, Destiny Angel, Captain Black, an SPV, Angel interceptor, helicopter, SSC and an explosion on it. I loved it when I was younger!!
