Spectrum uniform replicas for sale?

One of my interests is the design, execution, and wearing of clothing. Can anyone direct me to any place that may have, or may make available, Spectrum uniform replicas for sale? And could those be customized to their wearers?

In attempting to duplicate Captain Scarlet's uniform, I've always had the biggest problem with his regulation boots. Scarlet leather boots don't seem to be available for men in size 10!

To date, I have not yet. The doublet needs to be scarlet suede, which is not easy to obtain. And the radio-cap details are even more difficult, seeing as I have no plans from which to work.

i'd think the cap would be the trickiest. I would think one route would be to look for the closest existing cap you can find and modify it.

there used to be a store along South Str. Phila (ok, this was almost 20 years ago) that sold nothing but different kinds of hats.

finding red leather men's workboots..... hm. that's a toughie.

That wouldn't work as well; the leather would have to start out in scarlet color. Boo-hoo!

That store is called Hats In The Belfry, and it still exists. But it has nothing like what I want.

You might be able to dye white leather to red, but I don't know how good the result would be.
surely somewhere on the internet is aplace you can special order leather boots.

Glad to hear the store is still there, I always found it entertaining.

If your eyes are dark, then turnign them blue with contacts would be tricky. If they are a light hazel or green you should be able to get close. Of course if you can't wear contacts at all the point is moot.

You know, if you go to any army surplus stores the boots they have there are perfect, and you can always die an army waist coat and modify it if that is a concern.
