Does Spectrum has a medical crest? This thought occurred to me while hunting for medical animations. I can't recall seeing one in OS but is there one in NCS?

Not sure what you mean by a medical crest - there doesn't seem to be a specific logo to define the medics on Skybase - not that I've noticed, but then I probably wasn't looking.

No doubt the hawk-eyed Serena will be able to provide a more definitive answer ! :wink:

Lol!

There is a crest, of sorts. Kinda difficult for me to describe...
It's a sort of six-pronged plain green star/flower. The ends of the prongs are all flat. The normal Spectrum logo is imposed in the middle. The lines of it are white, and the rest is coloured green like the star/flower.
It appears on Gold's Medical Kit as seen in 'The Storm at the End of the World', and various other episodes I can't remember.

If that's the symbol they use, why doesn't is appear on the uniforms? Surely the nurses would have it on their uniforms.

The screencap is from The Storm At The End Of The World - right at the end, where Spectrum forces turn up to rescue Scarlet and Blue.

I was expecting the emblem to appear on the door, on equipment, uniforms, etc., too, but as far as I could see on a quick skim through the DVDs, it doesn't.

In one shot I saw, Dr Gold doesn't the emblem on his belt either, Whats the point in having the emblem if it isn't on the uniforms?

The designers goofed? :grin:

You can imagine that creating a design for a new belt buckle, specifically, might have been considered a non-necessary expense. If they do that for the medical department, than the Angel corps would want their own, the technicians, the guards... whatever :twisted:

The designs could instead be drawn on equipments and stuff... Though if it had appeared on doors and other places, that might have been a nice touch.

Maybe we walked the wrong corridors :twisted:

No, there is a scene in Virus when we see Captain Scarlet leave sickbay and there are no emblems on the doors as he leaves.

As I said, the production's designers probably forgot about that detail.

This was after all a kids show, and although they obviously made quite an effort and succeeded in designing such a wonderful futuristic world, little details like that can have been forgotten or overlooked - like it happens in all TV shows or movies.

You'll probably have to make do with the crest Hazel found and imagine that it probably is stamped wherever you think it should

Point taken, besides, it would've meant extra work for the guys who created the sets, and it would probably just be ignored anyhow.
