I believe the first set reached 68 at one point - that was the lowest I saw it and I think I checked a couple times a day right around its release period. I guess if season 2 gets a better rank then perhaps the interest and amount of people into the show has grown since last year - at least that is the sloppy logic theory I have.

The combo series box set is at #1,172 in DVD and it would be great to see that one break into the top 100 when all said and done.

Thanks for your comments and I too have written a review which (hopefully) will appear any day now.
As far as the ranking for NCS set 2 is concerned I am mystified. For weeks it has been lurking around at about #1000 to #2000 and yet today all that has changed. It's like those wretched flying ants which seem to all take to the air at the same time!
Something must have triggered today's activity unless all children have been told in assembly that they must buy it or go into detention. Possibly, there is a snowball effect of online awareness if a DVD boxset hits the charts - I just don't know.
Does anybody know if there have been adverts on children's tv recently or of anything else that might have caused this? Also, how many boxsets does #59 in the charts equate to per day? I would guess about 50 to 100 but I don't really know.

Of course maybe it has something to do with pre-ordering. Maybe Amazon does not record certain pre-orders until a certain date before release. Maybe today they processed all these certain orders all at once, hence the jump.
Does it count as an order when you pre-order? How many people pre-order and then cancel? Maybe they wait until a week before release (it is exactly one week) to process orders!

That could have had an effect on the sale rating.
Chris
P.S.: I did purchase the original boxset - in 2001! That means that Amazon keeps all your purchases on record for a long time...
P.P.S.: Of course, I didn't need to order the NCS boxset - it's been on pre-order for months for me!

Currently, it is #89 in the rankings and even higher (#83) in the bestsellers top 100.
