What would you like to happen?

Hi,
I was thinking about if there was a third series of NCS, what would happen? I know it's over :cry:

, yadda, yadda, yadda... But what would YOU like to of seen happen?
Here's mine...

1. The opening titles changed. I think the old one's are getting a bit boring...
2. Show handled by someone other than Granada and MoM. Come on, give us a break...
3. The hideous, ghastly demise of Destiny Angel... :twisted:

4. Green and Blue hook up. We all know there's something there. Please..? :wink:

5. Use of other Captain's. I mean Grey, Magenta and Indigo. Indigo dosen't even seem to have a voice!!? We need to see them more!
6. Ochre becomes a main character. After 'Grey Skulls', I felt she deserved it. She's seriously cool...
7. One of the other Angels (Rhapsody, perhaps?) starring as the protagonist in one episode.
8. Blue doing better than Scarlet for once. Poor bloke, never gets to show off with Paul there...
9. The third series made at all! Please, please, please!!!!

I agree completely with you there!

Except i think it's kinda funny that Blue never ever surpasses Scarlet, Scarlet can show off, but Blue is definetely no slouch

I think the only way the series could be resurrected in a fresh, thought-provoking and exhilarating way would be to make Captain Black the star of the show and literally rename it as "Captain Black and the Mysterons".

This is intended to be a serious suggestion and I think that Captain Black somehow has more film star presence than any of the other characters. I guess baddies are often more interesting but it was also down to some excellent scripts and voice artist work as well as to some dark film star looks (in episodes such as Heist).

Gerry Anderson came up trumps with Captain Scarlet in the 60's but I think that converting Black into a goodie could really capture the imagination of the public and the media.

Captain Black could be finally saved from the Mysterons in, say, a feature length 2 part opener to Series 3. He would, of course, have plenty of flashbacks and mental demons to contend with and this might make the broadcasters finally see this as more of an adult show.

Maybe Scarlet could be actually killed off by the Mysterons but with Conrad doing his level best to prevent this. He would then be out to avenge his best friend whilst renewing his relationship with Destiny!

A good show needs a good villain - and as far as I'm concerned, Captain Black is as good as it gets in terms of a villain. :twisted:

If you remove him, and put him in the side of good, you wouldn't have much of an adversary to oppose him to!

I would say give more screen presence to secondary characters. A little bit like what was done with Captain Magenta, but use the characters a little more. Magenta's background antics were delightful, and that would have been a good idea to have this as a "recurring gag" during the show.

Hey! At least they're subtle! I think they make a way better couple than Destiny/Scarlet. And they don't use disgustingly soppy lines either...
Scarlet & Destiny... they're so pathethic...

If only they had reused the original Scarlet theme by Barry Gray (or a variation on it). That would have made the titles much more enjoyable.

But remember we only heard the theme tune at the end of each episode. I would have preferred something as creepy as the original opening credits with the alleyway walkthrough.

There are several things I'd of liked to see happen,

A. Destiny get crippled and out of action so Harmony could lead the Angels for the whole episode.

B. Captain Blue sucker punching Scarlet and then saving the day.

C. Captain Blue and Lt Geen get together

D. One of the other Angels giving Captain Black a hard time

E. More of Captain Magenta's flirting and one of the Angels going on a date with him.

F. Colt making an appearance and saving the day, and Captain Ochre at the same time!!

G. Destiny and Captain Scarlet having a falling out

H. The male captains having a get together

I. Shark Attack!!

J. Dr Gold joking with Captain Scarlet

If only. I admit Destiny does need fine tuning if there ever is a Series Three.

To recap on what Intensity said - they all need fine-tuning !

It certainly looked, though, towards the last few episodes, that the producers were beginning to hit their stride. Everything was better - the CGI, the pacing of the episodes, the scripts. It was starting to come together really well.

I'm sure that, given time, other characters would have come to the fore, much as Ochre did in "Grey Skulls". There were definite hints of this. In fact, because "Grey Skulls" was substituted for "House of Dolls" at the last minute, I wonder now if it had originally been intended as a script for the projected third series ? If so, just imagine how great the third one could have been !

As for, what would I like to see happen? I'm not entirely sure, but I don't see the demise of any major characters. There's no need at this point. The Destiny-haters should bear in mind that the Scarlet/Black/Destiny triangle is the pivotal point of NCS. Take that away and you have a drastically weakened scenario.

If you wish to kill her off in fanfic, that of course, is your choice. I believe there's a lot more mileage to be had by imagining what could happen to these three people over the months, possibly years, of the Mysteron War. That's my choice.

I forgot about this thread!

I tried to kill off Destiny Angel in fan fic but failed...But you're right Skybase Girl, about the love triangle. If there had been a series three, then it would certainly have been interetsing to see not just further consequences but also the reactions of the other characters to it, like what the other Angels thought, and speaking of other Angels, I bet they would've had bigger parts and further developed with hard backgrounds instead of us guessing. And then there is that nurse who looks like Rhapsody Angel, her twin sister? Hmmm.

I am reminded of something Doc Brown said to me in conversation a while ago. I do hope Doc doesn't mind me mentioning it, but I thought it was a very interesting theory.

At the end of "Dominion", how ingenious would it have been if the tables had been turned? Meaning, if Scarlet returned to Earth having actually been "recaptured" by the Mysterons, while the Black we see walking off into a Martian sunset has been freed ?
( And may well be thinking, Now what do I do?

I have to admit it was not something I had thought of and since I had already written a fanfic which takes place after that episode and presents rather a different conclusion, it's not really an avenue I can explore as a writer.

However, I do think it's a fascinationg concept.
