I was one of those unfortunate who didn't get to see this trailer. Now I can say I did

Thanks to whoever permitted us to see it online.

Captain Blue LOOKS like he's supposed to, in my books at least...

I also thought Francis Matthews sounded remarkably spry as well in this trailer. Certainly, it's obvious that they didn't change too much for this for this CGI version, although the vehicles are a little more streamlined.
I know the NCS fans will groan at me saying this. but watching this made me pine even more for what 'might have been' with OCS made in CGI-Vision...(sigh)

Sad to say I almost didn't recognize Ed Bishop's voice, like one of the YouTube posters I thought it was someone doing an impression of him...

I did recognise both Francis Matthews and Ed Bishop - while admittedly sounding a little older, they didn't sound forty years older !
The good bit is that the CGI clearly improved a thousandfold between this trailer and the eventual production.

It certainly would have been interesting to see what route the series may have taken, had this original version of the CGI series been pursued. Like Marion, I prefer the ‘Blue’ in this trailer; whilst I thoroughly enjoy NCS, I feel that GA made a mistake with the final Blue. From the trailer, it would appear that GA’s initial idea was to go with the original Blue; I wonder why it was that he turned out so different – he’s a good character in himself, but just not ‘Blue’. Outside influences perhaps? Had we seen more of this version, I would imagine that other characters that underwent such a radical overhaul for the final NCS (Green, Ochre and Magenta ) – and, to a lesser degree, the Angels, and even Scarlet and Black – would have appeared as per their OCS counterparts.

I agree whole-heartedly and I’m so pleased that it has – I’m still amazed by so much of the detail in NCS. It wasn’t even just between the trailer and the eventual production that the CGI improved; one can see this after IoD 1&2 where, with the new production company on board, character definition is far better (in my opinion, anyway).
