Ringtones?
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
If that could be done, I would probably snap it up for my cell phone.

I haven't come across the timpani bit that I assume you're referring to (which I'm suddenly thinking could replace the TARDIS as my SMS tone), but both versions of the theme tune are available online from various sources.

I'm still not sure about the US, though. Sorry I can't be of more help, Parker Gabriel.

"I doubt that there's a big enough market for anyone to try and produce this as a commercial ringtone (especially in the US--sorry), but as long as your cell is MP3-compatible, you should be able to use a standard file transferred from your PC to your cell phone.

I am indeed referring to the kettle-drum segue. We'll just have to wait and see what happens regarding ITS availability, especially here in the States.

Could whoever has it send me just such an MP3 as an attachment to an e-mail message?
Whoever can is thanked in advance.

Took me about 2 seconds, on google:

Edited to stop stretching the board. If anyone needs to use this URL, copy/paste it back onto one line first.

Obviously, where I failed was in casing actual physical "brick-and-mortar" music stores. I DO shop for items off-the-line, as we probably all still do--and as we did before the initial links of the Internet were forged and before the foundation strands of the World Wide Web were spun.
If I seemed to have implied that there was nowhere to buy it, then I apologize. It was just that there are some purchases you simply have to make in person. That of the Captain Scarlet soundtrack is currently not one of them.

Have you been successful in finding an mp3 of it?

Here's the link, anyway:

I remember having taken the file from a Gerry Anderson sounds website, a few years back. I can't remember which one, and even if it still exists. But if that one doesn't, maybe there's other such websites out there, where you can find other Captain Scarlet or Gerry Anderson sounds you might want or need.
Transforming a wav file to mp3 was fairly easy. You just need a program to do it. It just happened that my Nero 6.6 had such a feature.
