UFO Alien Custom Action Figures
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
I have been at a bit of a loose end with my customising over the last couple of weeks. Been on a hiatus from a custom set I have been working on for three months while I am waiting for some figures and custom made coats to arrive from America.
I started looking at what other figures I could make to keep me busy. While shopping in Instore, I passed to the toy aisle and saw the reissued Lanard CORPS! figures. I took one look at the pilot figure with the helmet and immediately saw possibilities.

I got it home and after about an hours removing the head, dremeling, sanding, sculpting, dremeling and sanding again, I had the figure looking how I wanted.
I then dug out the Alien I made 25 years ago and made a cast of the helmet. I then sculpted the piece on the front and the backpack and made casts of those. The harness and collar are both sculpted.
Mea culpa, I was going to make the machine gun, but I copped out and used some old Star Wars Stormtrooper blasters. I like how they look.
1) 25 year old figure:

This one was made from the original Star Wars Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot figure:

Rather pleased with the way these turned out. I used a Vallejo Game Paint 'Blood Red' for the suit with Citadel 'Mithril Silver' for the harness, boots and helmet. The lines on the helmet are pvc coach trimline. The green on the visor is some 10+ year old metallic green I have left in my paint box. You can get similar, but unfortunately Citadel don't make the metallics any more

Well done Kambei, those are really good, you can see that an awful lot of work went into them
