Stingray

If there isn't a website, does anyone know if there are books or anything about them?
Ideally I'd like history on them, like is found on this website.
Thanks.

A Google search for Stingray +"Gerry Anderson" turned up hundreds of possibles, but they're mostly mechandising, production lists and general info sites.
However, you might be interested in these three:
http://www.crc.paragould.ar.us/~adam/fab/ST/stcharacters.htm
The Worlds of Gerry Anderson - quite a nice site, with potted biographies of the characters
http://members.lycos.co.uk/sector25/
Sector 25 - no biographies as far as I can see, but informative and interesting
http://www.supermarionation.net/
The Stingray section is still under construction, but the rest is good.

I suspect it appears as often as the Captain Scarlet book of the same series.
Issues 13 and 14 (Autumn 1993) of the Century 21 mags also offer a good deal of detailed information about Stingray in their feature "The Gerry Anderson All-series Encyclopedia". Each of these issue offer 10 to 12 pages concentrating only on Stingray. You even find a cutaways drawing of the sub itself. I think the Century 21 mags also appear often on e-Bay, or maybe you can find them at Star Trader/Engale Marketing- which was the publisher of those mags.
And of course, there's a few annuals you might also search for. I think one was released in 1994. Correct me if I'm wrong, Stingray experts.
Hope the info was useful!

Incidently, I myself, have been searching for a good Stingray fan site, any recommendations? Some of the ones that I know are either inactive, or they no longer exist!

Agreed! Stingray is quite possibly the best prelude to Thunderbirds, they are very similar in concepts to each other!
Now, here's my spin on it;
Troy Tempest: He is about as interesting as hero stereotypes get. His biggest assets are his dashing good looks, a suave, sexy voice (Don Mason) and his fierce courage in the face of danger. However, his apparent two-timing doesn't exactly make him the most moral of heroes.
Phones: The real sweetheart of the group! His smooth southern drawl (Robert Easton) and his laid-back manner, makes him the most likable of the whole crew.
Atlanta & Marina: Both excellent in the leading ladies roles. Their constant vying for Troy's attention adds another dimension to the story. Despite this "competition", they still remain the best of friends.
Commander Shore: Another likable one. Despite having a grumpy personna, he has a heart of pure gold. He is also proof positive that having a disability does not discourage him from doing his job, as he is sometimes seen aboard with Troy & Phones....and that includes going solo in Stingray to save Troy, Phones & Marina ("The Master Plan").
Lieutenant Fisher: The cutie pie!! He is just adorable in his own way!!

Titan: All in all, he's not half bad.....for a villian!
Agent X20: His goof ups and his many disguises provides hilarious comic relief!!

Well, that's my two cents worth!

I always liked Marina best. She still is a lovely puppet to watch. Other than that it's a toss up between Troy and Phones.
I never really took to Lt Fisher but I have come to appreciate X20 more - he really is quite funny. Of course when the series first screened I didn't understand the significance of his voice - I've now seen a lot more old horror movies since then!

One I think I really noticed watching the DVDs - how nice some of the fashions were (off duty outfits I mean). Atlanta looked very smart. They were better than later supermarionation shows, in my opinion.
