Lady Penelope Scams the Scammers

To anyone who has received an e-mail inviting them to claim a part-share in some astronomical sum of money that's been stashed away in an offshore bank account by a Nigerian official who just needs you to send him a couple of hundred pounds to retrieve it (and who hasn't?), I invite you to enjoy a good laugh at the two links below. I came across them while researching some details of Lady Penelope's background for one of my pieces of fan-fic on this forum, and ended up spending a very merry evening chuckling at this guy's tales of scamming the scammers. Enjoy!

UPDATE 8th November 2009: the original links that I posted several years ago have now disappeared, seemingly to be replaced by some web-pages in Russian! (Could it be that the authorities in Bereznik have spotted the potential for defrauding the World Government of a few trillion dollars using these scams?) Both returning Page Not Found, dammit. I've seen some hilarious responses to 419 Scam mails on the Lads From Lagos site (down for maintenance, last time I checked but well worth viewing). Never seen Lady P involved, though. (Damned plot bunnies - GET DOWN!!)

Yes...that is truly worthy of the Hustle guys...I had SUCH a laugh last night reading this.... the guy certainly knew his TB from his elbow..

Apparently, the original domain named site is back online. Maybe they're having trouble with the server?

I finally got around to reading some of them and I must say they're among the strangest things I've ever read on the Net.

You have to admire the scammers' persistance somehow - made even more ironic by the fact they don't get the joke.
