Thunderbirds Screencaps
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
Does anyone know where I can find a full set of Thunderbirds screencaps for each of the episodes? I've searched all over the internet but can't find any.
I need screencaps from these episodes: 'Terror in New York City', 'Cry Wolf', 'The Univited', 'Attack of the Alligators!', 'The Mighty Atom' and 'City of Fire' the most as I've started a brand new fan poem project but also 'Attack of the Alligators!' links in to my uni course and what we're studying at the moment and I can use screencaps of that episode within my written assignments!!!!
If you know of any or someone who could do the screencaps for me, please let me know.

That said, you might be able to use screencaps under fair use. However, fair use is a very grey area of the law, and there's no way to know for sure whether use of copyrighted material falls under fair use or not, short of an actual lawsuit where the judge makes the ultimate determination of whether a use falls under fair use or not. There are guidelines for fair use, namely the four factors judges are expected to consider in determining whether a use is fair use or not, but it's not as simple as adding up how many factors fall in your favor and how many fall against you. Anyone who tells you they have a black-and-white test for determining whether a given use qualifies as fair use or not, short of actually bringing the matter before a judge in a lawsuit, does not know what they are talking about. I assume you're not profiting yourself from your posts so your use is unlikely to harm sales of the work; and for the screencaps at least, you're reproducing only a very small portion of the movie.
(from an internet forum about film copyright)
Just to point out that taking screen caps of a whole episode would not be 'fair use' as I understand it. Speaking as a librarian, copyright is a minefield.

During a publicity shoot for "Attack of the Alligators!", one attacked Lady Penelope while she was positioned for a shot with two of the creatures and devoured one of her legs.
It is amazing what dear Doctor Fawn can achieve these days - you really can't tell at all.
