Symphony and Blue had already worn these costumes at a Svenson family party, but on that occasion, she had lost her skirt. As they knew this, there was a private bet on amongst the other captains as to whether she might somehow contrive to lose it again and brighten the evening’s proceedings.

“I don’t know,” Ochre pointed out rather logically, “the only way that this is likely to happen will be if Blue is involved in removing the item of clothing…”
